THE ASK
In an effort to bring our internal leadership a gift of appreciation the in-house design team was asked to create a book that would be composed of twenty personal stories from friends, acquaintances, co-workers as well as the president of the company.
THE CONCEPT
I approached this book with a sense of classic exterior with a modern clean aesthetic within layout. A series of custom illustrations and maps were created to highlight aspects of co-worker stories or meaningful quotes from Jeff and his cohorts. This personal touch and aesthetic pushes the overall feel towards a career showpiece or monumental achievement rather than standard corporate memorabilia.
THE SOLUTION
This ten inch square case bound book is wrapped with authentic pronged cowhide that includes a personalized debossed title, corporate color endpapers and is placed inside a dark wood stained gallery box for safe keeping. The collection of copy and assets, vendor shopping and design approval of this book took over 5 weeks but met the deadlines and budget requirements with extra to spend on a small party for Jeff.
Let's be serious... a BIG party for Jeff! He was an inspiration for us all and will be greatly missed.
